My 6970m has died on my 27"imac and I'm looking to flash a GTX 660m (alienware). I'm a newbie to flashing and have read around the subject including the interesting "2011 Imac graphics update" thread. Once I install the card in the imac I have to use nvflash to flash the rom. Do I need to use a bootcamp windows bootable usb to install windows on the internal hdd to get to command prompt? Or is there an easier straightforward way to use nvflash from boot?
