In my home directory, the desktop folder has a weird icon, and all the folders within the main folders there (you know, like Music, Movies, Pictures, Documents) have these weird half and half blue and white circular logos.

The only maintenance I've done recently is I repaired permissions yesterday and I just installed the Security 2005-007 update. What's happening?

    Here's a pic:

I think I've read things about this problem before but I can't remember.

Also, when I'm selecting what image to open or upload (as in the context of uploading to Imageshack or Photobucket) there are none of these strange images.

    Thanks!

Try restarting finder in the Apple. Force Quite menu. Might help clear your icons.

I saw this problem a lot in Panther, but never in Tiger so far. Restarting the Finder (as above) will solve it, but I hope this isn't going to become a recurring problem in Tiger as it was in Panther.
