I was thinking, imagine if they installed Folding on all of the G5s at Virginias supercomputer cluster.

    One G5 Dual 2.0GHz would crank out about 200 points a day...so....

The cluster would crank out 200,000 points a day. Damn...

We should try and build a cheap PC cluster of like 4. PCs really kickass in folding. My P4 2.66GHz gets about 150 points a day, but its usually not running.

It's still one work unit per CPU. :) They don't seem to be in need of re-configuring work units to be calculated in cluster/grid configurations. It would be complex and time-consuming and the current solution is economical for them.

It's an interesting thought, though. :)
