For those who preordered a ATT note 3

    Typical underdelivering ATT pre order. My ship date was stated as 9/11-9/13

    Here is a transcript from a online chat


    Evelyn: I have located your order placed on 9/6/13 for a Samsung Note 3.0 Black phone.
    Evelyn: We have sold out of the device and are waiting for additional inventory. Unfortunately, we do not have an anticipated delivery date as inventory levels vary from day-to-day. You will receive an e-mail from us when your item has shipped.
    Evelyn: I apologize for the inconvenience.
    oliver: Is it based on when I ordered because I preordered day 1?
    oliver: Will it be based on first order first shipped basis?
    Evelyn: Your device has been ordered during a special pre-order event. Pre-ordered devices are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify you by e-mail when your device has shipped from our warehouse.
    Evelyn: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
    oliver: No indication of when you are expecting more stock?
    Evelyn: No, I am sorry, however, our inventory changes on a daily basis.
    oliver: ok
    oliver: thank you
    Evelyn: You are very welcome, Mr. Byrd.
    Evelyn: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
    Evelyn: I have not heard from you in awhile. Would you like to continue to chat?
    oliver: Please do not put up estimated ship dates that you cannot honor in the future. I would have been Happy if given a date for further out, but receiving it early. As it stands this is a bad customer experience.
    Evelyn: Sure, I can understand why that’s important to you.
    oliver: Can you change my shipping to expedited?
    Evelyn: I am sorry that you have had an unpleasant experience. I hope you will give us another chance to demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service.
    Evelyn: No, I am sorry. Once an order has been placed, we are not able to make any changes to it.

    ATT botched my iphone 5 preorder so bad that I would still be waiting for it had I not located, a local store that had some in stock. I don't know why I am so surprised when they do it again.

    Not quite sure why you're so upset? I pre-ordered day one as well - Att website said expected delivery 10/1 prior to adding to the cart.

    Sure, they had an "estimated" advanced ship date (mine had it too) - but the phone didn't even have FCC approval until like 9/11. So, no way we'd have it that day (or even two days later).

    I'd assume the early ship date was a placeholder and you'll get your phone approx 10/1.

    Come on dude. No way this was ever going to be shipped by 9/13. It was always a 10/1 delivery. :rolleyes:

    Just anxiously awaiting it lol.

    My buddy works for att so hopefully I will score one sooner. Time will tell.

    i got all giddy too with the early date but was very skeptical.

    i heard a lot on these forums that att actually has been very good with pre-orders and beating the expected ship dates so i am still holding out hope that it will be before october 1st but wont be disappointed if not.

    waiting patiently.

    only thing i am in a hurry for is trading in my s3 before i crack the screen even more lol
