im not planning on renewing my dotmac subscription when it comes up.
i remember seeing an article in a mac magazine a few months ago (3-6 or so?) does that ring a bell for anyone one?

the only thing i would like to do really is post pictures online occasionally and i do use the backup program. i dont care about the .mac email and i dont post my calendar online or anything like that.

so basically looking for suggestions on free backup apps and photo albums

thanks!

Photobucket.com is another free site. Its what I use to host photos not associated with my website. There is a free program called iBackup thats modeled after Apple's backup program, although I can't attest to its reliability. If you have an external drive, program like SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner can make full drive backups.

Sounds like spymac, but spymac sucks balls.
Flickr for photo sharing, flickr rocks.
As for backup, unless you're willing to pay, there aren't many choices that are as integrated as .mac+backup, but places like box.net and goowy offer like a gig or two of free online space.
