    Hey all,
Do any of you know any good freeware shooters(not AA), preferably with some decent graphics and online play? Older shooters which dont require a serial(like Quake 3) are cool too cuz I can buy them used without worrying if the serial is black listed. Recomendations would be appreciated.
    Cheers

PS: How does halo compare to UT with online gaming? Any opinions?

Nexuiz maybe? Don't have a link offhand, but you can google it. It's based on the Quake 1 engine, though very heavily modified, and the netplay seems sort of Quake-ish, though I've only spent a little time playing it.

Nexuiz and Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory are two I can think of off the top of my head. If you wanted, you could search around and download the old Doom series. Old, but still fun.

Nexuiz may be based on the quake 1 engine, but with all the enhacements the developers made to the game, it runs about as well as Doom3. I am not joking.Their server also seems to have crashed.

Compared to UT03? Pwnage. Compared to UT04? Not a chance

There was that Korean one meant to be like BF2, but I think it may have been Windows only
