So, someone has, at some point, sent me a friend request.

I don't "do" those. ;)

I'd like for the notification to go away, but I don't see a choice for "ignore" or "silently reject."

Are people notified that their friend requests are declined?

Just select delete and it goes away. I don't think it sends them any kind of notification.

Apologies to Yoda:

There is accept and reject, there is no delete.

No biggie, I'll just reject it. I'm used to LinkedIn's accept/reject/discard option, but like I said, not a big deal.
