That is hilarious. I'd love to see the first case go to trial. It would be a complete circus. :D

So this would be against the law in the US if I don't use my real name? What's Bush going to do to me here in Jersey? And how, if I don't use my real name, is he going to find me?

You're right 'cause I find this clown annoying and I'm pretty sure Bozo isn't his real name.

Well, I guess it's a bit unrealistic, but the intent is is to out-right prevent people from voicing dissent. This isn't a fluke, it's systematic, and it's just one part of the ongoing process.

He has to post something on the Internets first that offends you without using his real name "Dubbuah".

There's definitely a repression of dissenting speech in this country, to an extent that I wouldn't have believed. Very, very frightening. What they THINK they can get away with--and think its OK to get away with--is almost more frightening than what they CAN get away with.

Read about what the Republicans have been doing to public broadcasting if you have any doubt: http://www.alternet.org/story/29656/

Apparently not, since he's using his real name. Or so he says.

What a bunch of morons. I mean really, how can they possibly expect the inept and understaffed department of justice to handle all of these cases? I mean, really, what kind of crap do these guys have for brains? I'd like to take them all outside and...

Just a second, there's a knock at the door. Be right back...

Sounds like the time is right to flood the WH with anonymous posts designed to be as annoying as possible and see what happens.

The only one with a remote chance of sticking would be impersonating a graduate of an Ivy League university.

Actually, most of them are quite annoying under their own recognizance.

See the last few paragraphs of BoingBoing's coverage of this story for some balance to the hysteria. Unless you just like your news unbalanced, I mean. ;)

And there was I thinking the 'Report Post' button just sent a message to the MR mods – I suppose this means in future the button will link directly to the CIA...

    heh heh

v20 should be read as "v2.0". and v1.0 is the one who got me into this mess in the first place.

Apple sucks!! Steve Jobs sucks!! PC users rule, Mac users drool!!

I don't really believe any of that, don't worry. I am performing an act of civil disobedience. I am annoying people without disclosing my real name in defiance of the new law. :D :p

What a ridiculous law. Obviously preventing violence against women and putting a stop to cyberstalking are both very serious, real issues. It's a shame that Congress and Bush have made a mockery of these issues by saying that anyone who "annoys" anyone else is a criminal.

Are you trying to imply that GWB has to obey laws too?
That's a concept he really finds annoying...
