    Hey all,

I don't really even know if I'm going to sell this or not but I figured I would see what offers I get. I have a Dell Dimension 5100c (click here to see more about the system) and I think I may sell or trade it. The quick rundown on system specs is as follows...

Pentium 4 2.8GHz CPU with HyperThreading Technology
1.25GB DDR2 PC4700 RAM (4GB Max with dual channel capability)
16x PCI Express Radeon x600 graphics card
Available 1x PCI Express Slot for adding a TV Tuner card (DVI and S-Vid out)
    40GB Serial ATA 7200RPM HD
    DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
6 USB 2.0 Slots (4 on back 2 in front)
2 Firewire 400 Slots (1 on back 1 on front)
Windows Media Center Edition 2005 with Install DVD
Office 2003 Professional (for students only please)
BTX small formfactor case for quiet operation

A system configured this way would run about $600 from Dell's refurb store (only place I can seem to find one now with a 40GB HD). I am looking for any offers and trades. I have a powerbook 12" as shown in my sig so I don't need a powerbook or iBook. Anything else is fair game. I look forward to the offers :) I will post pics soon. Thanks all.

    Sounds like nice machine. ;)

Good luck with the sale man. I'd trade you something but I doubt you'd be interested in anything in my sig. Heh.

Thanks Paragonvictim and rmhop81 for the kind words. Just to clarify I'm not only looking for mac trades here. If someone has a full size tower capable of running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 then we could work something out as well. Let me know. Thanks!

maybe we can work something out

If you are looking for a full size media PC I'm guessing you want more slots? If so...
are you looking to built a media center PC? I built a high-end multimedia PC some time ago. The guts are dated, but the case might suit your needs. It's an RKR callisto case with an aluminum front panel. It looks like a high end audio receiver - billet aluminum etc.

I'm having technical difficulties with the guts. I think the motherboard is shot. I would sell the whole PC but since I'm not sure what broke, I can't risk selling someone something that is broken - so I'm looking to just sell the case since it's unique and desirable. If you'd be interested, it would come with the DVD/CD they market with it (fits right and has the aluminum front plate for integrated look). I could also toss in any of the items that make it up right now - 1.8ghz p4, gig of ram, geforce 4200/128 card, firewire card, ton of usb 2.0 ports, case fan...
About the 5100c. I was just looking at these, but I'm worried about the expandability. Since it already has firewire and usb 2.0 I'm thinking all I'd want to add is my DVICO hdtv tuner. Is that DVI port/slot part of the default config or something extra?
