I just got an imac- so time to sell my G5 tower

It's in great condition- I used it for basic web browsing and some very simple editing in imovie. So the system isn't overused.

Case is still clean with no dents scratches or dings.
And I still have the original box

    1.5 gig Ram
    160gig HD

I'm in LA, Cali so local would mean no shipping charges- but I am willing to ship.

    Make an offer.

How loud are the G5 towers? Sounds picky but I can't stand noise when I work!

I never noticed any noise just occasionally if I was trying to do a few things at once- or it was warm out- the fan would kick on.

It's not deadly silent- but I never had an issue with any noises.

Actually looking on Ebay- looks like this goes for about $600 or so without shipping.

I'd be willing to go for less though.

And I am willing to talk trades with cash on either side.

Some things I'm looking for: video cam either 3 chip or HD
HD TV 46" or over (obviously I'd pay more)

    Or be creative!

Wow I can't believe someone else lives in West Virginia :D

Anyway about the G5.. could you post some more specs and maybe pictures? Also, is there anything else you are interested in trading for? Thanks.

Well as far as specs- it's really the exact specs that came with the original computer I have added nothing to it:

I actually just got a camera off woot today- so don't need that anymore. Not sure what I'd be looking for in a trade- there really isn't anything I need in terms of computer equipment as I already have hard drives and monitors.

I'd rather sell it for cash- but again, willing to listen to trades

    From the original Box:

-1.8 GHz PowerPC 970 (G5) processor with an optimized AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit, and 512k level 2 on-chip cache,
-512k on chip level 2 cache
    - 1.5 gig RAM
-NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra (AGP 8X Pro) video card with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM.
    -400 MHz PC3200 DDR SDRAM,
-160.0 GB (7200 RPM) Serial ATA hard drive
    -4X DVD-R/CD-RW "SuperDrive"
    - four expansion slots (one AGP 8x pro slot with graphics card installed; one open 133MHZ 64-but PCI-x slot and 2 open 1000MHZ 64 bit PCI-X slots)
    - 1 FireWire 800 ports 2 firewire 400 ports three USB 2.0 ports
    - optical digital audio in, optical digital audio out, analog audio in, analog audio outm front headphone minijack and speaker
    - Built in 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet and 56kv.92 modem
