    Hi,

I've got it set up in my dorm so I can use my tv as a second monitor to watch videos through my tower on the TV. Problem is, I can't get Quicktime or VLC to go fullscreen on the tv. I have the tv set as the secondary monitor, and every time I drag the video window over to the tv and hit fullscreen, it just goes fullscreen on my lcd. I've gotten it to work with Quicktime before, but that was at least 9 months ago, so I don't know if it doesnt work the same anymore because of QT 7 (I do have Pro), the newest version of VLC, or Tiger. I would imagine it's still possible to fullscreen on a secondary monitor and would appreciate finding out how to do it again, or if it's not can someone let me know?

    Thanks a ton,
    Muskie

You need to make the TV the primary display, in system preferences under displays / arrangement just drag the menu bar to the TV.

    No you don't have to.

With VLC just go to Video>Video Device and choose your external display and go full screen.

For QT, you said you have Pro, go to View>Present Movie and choose the display you want and and size and/or full screen mode

This works, I have done it many times.

Indeed! I have learned a ton on here, and (at least I hope) taught a few people some valuable things.
