Hi, i have a really anoying problem were my G4 PowerPC cant go to sleep. It means, when i use the sleep button under apple menu, it goes to sleep and imidiatly wakes up again. (same with powerbutton) That is.. it cannot go to sleep after 9:30PM. I am mostly still behind my mac after 9:30 so every night i have to shut down my Mac ,and since it is rather full of memory and it is not the fastest Mac it takes ages to start up.
Any help would really be appreciated, thanx in advance...
i have: Processor: 400Mhz PowerPC G4 , 25GB storage space, 7 GB left, Memory: 384 MB SDRAM. VGA monitor.

    So, what exactly happens?

Does it not go to sleep? Or does it not wake up?
As you said your Mac is "rather full of memory"... do you mean full of RAM? Or lots of hard disk space filled....?

If you force the Mac to go to sleep (Apple-menu >> Sleep) does that work?

And, that 9:30 mark.... Do you mean it will sleep before 9:30, but not after?

sing it a lullaby maybe that will work.....lol :D

Sorry I couldn't resist. Seriously now... you may want to check your settings to see if it's set to automatically wake up. Another option is if youre not going to put it in sleep mode for a long time you can just leave it running. If you're concerned about the monitor, which now a days are really good, you can just turn the monitor off or run a screen saver mode.

If all else fails try to set your computer to sleep after 15 min of no activity.

Just a few suggestions, hope your problem is solved soon.
