I'm bored. I need something to do, so I decided to get a video game.
I was going to buy a Wii... but no.
So I need a computer game.
I dont want World of Warcraft because
    1. monthy charge for a video game:confused:
    2. the wireless mighty mouse wont work with that game (not sure about the wired version)
    3. i got bored with my brothers game in like 10 minutes anyway.

so what are some good game suggestions?
no sports, no warcraft, no sims.
no games with a required monthy charge.
    thanks

When I was really bored a few months back I got addicted to playing Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II. It gave me many hours free from boredom.

EDIT: forgot I was in a Mac Forum for a second
I haven't played a Mac game in ages, so... Call of Duty?

I find most PC games uninteresting. Dunno how old you are, but my next purchase will be a DS lite, so I can play some of the old SNES RPG re-issues that they're doing on the GBA now (and maybe get some actual DS games as well). The DS is a great little handheld, and there's a bunch of awesome games for it.

My list right now looks like:

GBA games: Final Fantasy VI Advance (early February), Tales of Phantasia Advance

DS games: Phoenix Wright, Brain Age (or Big Brain Academy, not sure which), and maybe the new Mario game (I forget the name)

    Just an idea.

This may not be exactly what you had in mind, but this game worked wonders for all of us who were bored in this thread.

I suggest a strategy game of some sort. Those are addicting and last awhile. Age of Empires 2 & 3 are excellent titles of the genre.

There is not alot interesting games lately that appeal for me. I don't like WoW. So back a year ago when I was bored I went straight to Game shop and talked with one of the sellers and got a PS2 silver slimline with Black.

It was intersting but I was mainly waiting for The Godfarther Game. Good game but after that I did not find any game that interested me on th PS2.

I do like the Resident Evil Series. So if you havent played them try RE2 its a good game to start with. Great story and it got me hooked. But yeah I played it back then on the PC.

See I'm old-school - so I like alot of text adventures from back then when I was a kid in the 90's. Alot of SCUMMVM games are great: Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, Day of the Tenicle, Broken Sword.

So I decided to get a Nintendo DS lite with New Super Mario Bros. and Phoenix Wright. PW is a great game and I would recommend it to you. Also check out SCUMMVM DS project.
