I have a laCie Porsche 160GB 8 or 16MB buffer on a usb a usb 1.1 connection... My internal 40GB drive is filling up and what I wanted to know is if I install games like Need For Speed Underground 2, URU, Doom3 on the external... Will it run ok or will the usb 1.1 connection cause unbareable lag?
    Thanks in advance

USB 1.1 will be too slow.

I do use a external HD for games, but over a firewire connection. I don't think you'll be able to pull it off with USB 1.1. :(

    USB Too Slow

You'll be better off copying files to Ext. HD and use the freed up space for games. Try to keep your apps and games on the main (internal) drive. I too use LaCie ext. HDs, but only for backup and files. I have a System (10.2.8) installed as a Emergency boot if the main drive ever fails.
