    Hi everyone,

I own an ibook and all my friends own PCs. I was wondering if there are any games out there that allows PC and mac to play together in a LAN or Online setting. The only one that I couls think of is Warcraft. Any suggestions would be appreciated.:)

These are sure to work in multiplayer with PC-MAC
    Warcraft 3
    Halo
All quake 3 engine based games (Medal of honor, Quake 3, all Jedi games, Return to castle Wolfenstein, Call of duty)
All Unreal games (even those running on OS 9)
    Postal 2: Share the pain
    Quake 1 + 2
    Starcraft
    World of Warcraft
    Doom 3 (i think)

There are many more but I don't remember...

    Online only games

    AMERICA'S ARMY ONLINE
    WORLDS OF WARCRAFT

    Playable also offline

    GHOST RECON (some compatibility problems)
neverwinter nights (also tryed via airport with a centrino)

Always check client versions, they must be the same.

I second warcraft 3. I have great fun playing DoTA with my PC friends. The connection is seamless.

Myth 2. It's really old (~5 years), but I still play it online with a group of friends every month or so. It's a great game.

That's disappointing. I loved played AOEII against my dorm mates a few years ago. Although, now that AOEIII is out, I play that instead. And, heck, that's why I've kept my PC around so that I can play all those games without worrying about the compatibility issues. :D

If I was to go to Best Buy and buy a game that says PC/MAc in the top corner. Does that mean that this will work on a mac and a pc?

Yep – it's a hybrid disk that contains data for both platforms. I like games like this – you don't have to wait six months after the PC version comes out to get the Mac version and they're often cheaper too!

blizzard i think is the ones that does this still and its great cause it is optimized from them to so there is no crap port's from blizzard. they know how the game should preform and make it do so blizzard is a great company for making there games on hybrid disk's.
