I have recently bought The Sims 3 and after installing it, when I came to run the program it asked for the installations DVD (naturally). I created a read-only disk image using Disk Utility but it still asked me for the installation DVD when I mounted the disk image (understandably!)

I can't download the game from direct2drive because I don't live in the US, and I don't want to be carrying the superdrive around with me, I heard something about a virtual drive, but isn't that what Disk Utility is used for?

Has anyone managed to do this?

Thanks,

S.

How do I do that? I have a legal copy just need to figure out how to play it without the DVD. This no DVD crack sounds like just what I need!

Thanks

alternatively to the crack, try mounting it with toast as a dvd image :)
