Yay! Not that I was worried about the outcome or anything.

Here is Lou's take on the issue.

Just to clarify: A 'yes' vote is a vote to cut off debate and put the item up for a vote on the Senate floor. A 'no' vote is a vote to kill this measure before it ever gets a chance to come up for a vote. Weird, I know, but the Senate is a strange and arcane place.

The whole Santorum klan was on "107.5 ALIVE-- Bringing Jesus to the People" a few months ago.

    What a nutjob.

Excellent, now we can get on to more important things like the Constitutional Amendment to ban flag burning.

Trying to get re-elected no doubt. I think it's going to backfire though. Sure, a majority in some places don't want gays to get married. But it's a smaller majority that wants the Constitution changed. And a very small minority that think this is more important than anything else going on right now.

But don't you realise iGary, guns don't kill people, gays kill people....

I want to see a senator or whoever it is who run for President to stand up and say:

"You know what? Who gives a rat's ass about school prayer or gay marriage or flag burning? We've got ACTUAL problems to solve so to all those whingers who can't get past their petty little squabbles I say 'suck it up princess' and lets get on with fixing the things that matter."

Gee it was hard to type "ass" instead of "arse" but you get the picture, I can't see anyone with a backbone putting their hand up and saying "ya know what? I reckon I can fix this."

Come to think of it, there's nobody here with any real guts to lead the country either. Bunch of snivelling little grubs. Actually that very insult was used three times last week in the House of Reps - we may not have good pollies but they know some good insults. The deputy leader of the opposition was kicked out of the house and barred for a day for calling on of the ministers a "snivelling grub."

    Ergh...

I know you know I'm kidding but for all those out there who are going to snatch onto the "suck it up princess" comment, it's a very very common saying here for "get over it" or "build a bridge" etc.
