Right, well just as I was feeling geeky for spending far too much time here over the past few days you post that...

And I have absolutely no idea what's going on! :)

    Thanks for the reassurance.

I taught Rae, who passed away yesterday, how to program in C and Obj-C while in hospital. We ended up doing things like a[1] = b when we made typos or sending messages as Obj-C strings.

Glad to see someone is getting happiness out of things like that. It's just hard memories for me now.

every time i'm coding something (last night was HTML for example) my girlfriend looks over and says somthing like, "you're so weird, that looks like alien speak". haha, here's what i have to say to that:

    <h3>you're the <font color=blue>weird</font> one, but i <font color=red>love</font> you anyways</h3>

Yeah that was pretty geeky, but I think my friend topped you. I heard that he and his girlfriend were bored one Saturday night so they made a giant molecular model of a buckyball out of toilet paper, paper towel rolls and nerf balls... As soon as I heard that I knew they were meant for each other... and now they're married! :)

My wife and I refer to getting off topic in a conversation as a subroutine call. Instead of "too much information", we're just as likely to say "stack overflow". She's not a programmer like I am, but she's heard enough of my babbling to pick up such phrases.

A couple I knew as an act of total commitment (more serious than engagement or marriage in there eyes) was combining the lego sets.

Wow, depending on their age, that's starts off really cute (if they were around 6 to 10 years old) and just keeps getting geekier every year after that. :) As you get older you realize everybody has some geek in them somewhere, so it's all good, especialy if you can geek out together!

Yes, very geeky. A language of love. Neither my wife or I are really geeky. My wife doesn't really talk all that much. Says that she is tired after talking to her patients all day.

Just noticed your new Avatar scem0, very nice.

Heh. Yeah, that was a fun thread.

    You'll love the how-we-met story.

My blog is generously hosted by AmbitiousLemon. Couple months ago the passwords to my mysql database were messed up and I had to contact the server admin to sort things out. We began talking--turns out he lives in my state, 2.5 hours east of me. And we have similar interests. And we're close to the same age, he's 1.5 years older than me. We talked and talked and talked for the next few weeks...then met in person...
    and the rest is history.
