Description:: If a doctor asks a representative how one drug interacts with another drug the doctor is prescribing, the sales representative can pull out his iPhone and go into the contact directory of the Genentech staff directory to get the proper answer.

My neighbor tells me that they are developing a whole suite of apps based on employee requests, from directories to apps that allow you to check their shuttle schedule; approve purchase orders; find and book an available conference room on their sprawling campus; and full sales force integration. Wish my employer would ditch the blackberry ...

Start writing apps for your company, all the closeted iPhone users will show up and want more. Take this as a opportunity to get noticed and climb up the corporate food chain.

Until it breaks and you get blamed for your act of kindness.
