I was watching NBC News this evening and Brian Williams ran a segment of Maria B's MSNBC interview with George W. Bush. GW said he does not use email at all because he does not want his messages get published on the net.
I think this is an interesting piece of info. Maybe he is paranoid about leaving the message trails or maybe he cannot write email messages cohesively (maybe he writes like he talks).

    doesn't read newspapers either...
of course, reading involves curiosity, and if you've got your mind made up about things already, why bother to find out more?

Funny, hahaha, dish your President because he doesn't use email. Maybe this person, in this job, doesn't have time to mess with email. Maybe he likes to talk on the phone or face-to-face. I know email isn't a godsend for communication. I still want a voice to ask questions when I need an answer ASAP, not waiting on an email. This President, like all previous Presidents since WWII, is the most powerful man in the world. That position requires constant attention 24/7/365, do you want the job? I may not agree with all his policies, but he is my President, of my country and I respect that. For too long now, people and the media have dished this President. What happened to respect for the office of the President? If anything we should be mad at the Congress, an collection of life's losers who couldn't survive day-to-day life. They are the ones who think they are high and mighty. Personally, I do not think I could say to their face, Senator or Representative so and so. I don't think they deserve that respect, nor have they earned it IMO. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, it may look like President Bush is out having fun golfing.

However, don't forget the entourage that must accompany the President where ever he goes to include the football from which he can launch nuclear war while he is on the golf course.

So yes, he is on the job 24/7 even when he is relaxing.

would you say that about Clinton?

EDIT: in all fairness, he probably doesn't have time to fool with email. When I was a working stiff I considered company email a nuisance.

People already take what he says out of context, why add e-mails into the mix?

Depends on how you describe 'powerful'; other than having his finger on the 'button', I think other men have proven that they can have a bigger impact on the USA/World, resulting in the President having to react, rather than 'lead'.

Those Enron chaps. That Osama Bin Laden chap. etc etc

During the interview, he specifically said the reason he does not use email is he does not want his messages posted on internet by someone (intentionally or accidentally). He did not say he does not have time for email.

I am pretty sure he has ample time in his hand as he likes going to his ranch in TX a lot, making the nature walk in his ranch, goes to sleep by 10 p.m., does not do press conference that much (his predecessor Bill Clinton did lots of press conferences). Some news cast reported he stayed in his Texas ranch about 5 months out of a year in certain year during his presidency.
