Hello all. Before I ask...I'm going to state as a disclaimer that I don't expect much from my macbook (in the sig) 3D wise. However, I'm interested in optimizing its performance.

I know that the GMA x3100 doesn't perform well under MacOS, how does it do under windows XP? If it's significantly better I may install windows XP and use it to play WoW and use MacOS for everything else. Thanks guys.

Well, its best to have the latest drivers installed for one thing.

I know, which I have, but it's fairly well established that the X3100 underperforms in MacOS from its windows counterparts. Was just curious if using windows to run games would be better.

It will, the drivers make the workflow more efficient! I really hope that Apple update the Kexts with their 10.5.3 update, that would just be awsome on their part, i really do hate that x3100 preforms so bad, when it really is not such a bad unit!

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to install windows as soon as I find my CD and see how WoW performs under that vs. Leopard.
