I just noticed that GIMP.app seem to be avaliable as PPC and intel binary. Has anybody tried it on an intel Mac? Anybody up for posting initial impressions of it?

Well, I couldn't find the universal binary. The file that said it was... Wasn't.

The GIMP binary is actually universal, the launcher isn't.

??? I am not sure I follow. Isn't there just a Gimp.app that you just copy to /Applications folder, which starts X11 along with the actual application istself when double clicked?

You have to put the OS install disc in, and find the 'Install Optional Components' icon. (Sorry, I don't have my disc with me right now, so I can't lead you directly to it.)

That's an updated version for 10.3, *NOT* 10.4. 10.4 users should install off their 10.4 install DVD only.
