So, my girlfriend recently came home after a couple of after-work drinks and she dropped her phone outside our door while searching for her keys. She's a bit drunk and I think she's overreacting. What should I tell her to make her calm down?

No idea to tell her to put a case on it because she refuses. Well at least in this condition, hopefully she'll change her mind when she sobers up.

Go fire up the belt sander and even it out. Hurry while she's still drunk! ;)

It's too late now but you should have just keep telling her you did not see it.

If she refuses to put a case on it, then she risks damage when she drops it. She is an adult and can make her own decisions and has to accept the consequences of those decisions.

Yeah, I agree. I believe and hope she'll change her mind when she sobers up. Right know she's just complaining about how ugly it will look with a case on it. Women huh?

Give her a good whack to the mouth, and tell her you want a sammich.

    Phone privileges revoked!

Tell her she's lucky. If the phone fell on the corner on the front glass side, she'd have a shattered screen instead of a dent.

The metal band on this new iphone is so soft, the bezel on the topside that reflects light in your eyes is so susptable to scratches. The chrome apple symbol on the back will scratch by looking at it. By far the most delicate iphone to date, next to the chrome back on the old ipod touches

Coincidentally a drunk gf of coworker got him into trouble and he's now fired. Zero bacon.

So you know what I think.

At least the entire front didn't shatter. Tell her to count her blessings. And put a case on the dang thing if she is going to get hammered and throw her phone around. ;)

You should tell her to stop drinking or buy her a Samsung phone that she can abuse.

I'd be worried about the guy that drove her home.

I mean she was drunk so she did not drive herself home .... did she?

    DENT GATE!!!!

Everyone go check your 4/4S to see if it has this awful flaw! Drop it, and if it dents, take it into Apple and demand new ones until you find one that doesn't!

Steve must be spinning in his grave over this decision to use such crappy materials like stainless steel...

It's worth noting that if she can;t deal with it it's a $200 replacement. Much more reasonable than ANY amount of body work on a car.

I don't know what part of the world you're from, but in my country, Sweden, we usually take a cab home after a night out.

    Excellent. seriously.

I wish we had driving laws that motivated the sloppy drunks to take cabs home here. Sadly we have to, at times deal with drunk drivers.

    Scary for us motorcycle riders!

This. I opened this thread to see the girlfriend, not another pic of a dented phone. :p
