For a while I have noticed the glass effect that Apple puts on some of the images on their site. I remember them the other day with the introduction of the iPhone (on the orange, blue and green things I think it was that say Widescreen iPod, Phone etc...) Is there any app out there that does this? I know pages does the reflection effect but have not seen the glass thing anywhere.

Do you mean something like this?
The top half of the image is separated by a slight curve and is lighter.

You can do that in Photoshop. Just draw an oval, fill it with transparent white, and place it over the top half of your image.

Yeah about that, I just downloaded GIMP, and it says I require X11. I know what that is but can I use it on an Intel Mac? (I have a MacBook.)
