If you havent heard about this Glen Beck is having a rally in the national mall today to rally against Obama and the current Government and using 9/11 as a Rallying point. The fact that i think this is disgraceful is that there using a Rally that happen on 9/11 which is sad and that its against Obama and complaining against the spending he has done so far lets not forget though that The last administarion had a surpless and were spending on two wars The AIG Bailout the first Stimilus budget and other things i can name. I just think its Sad were using a National tradgedy to protest something that has nothing to do with what happen on 9/11.

Glen Beck always goes too far. That's what he does - it's the only way people will listen to his non-stop whining and complaining over things that aren't even true.

Don't really care. Let them do what they want. They're an embarrassment to themselves and the country. The more they talk, the more idiotic they look.

    I agree.

As for "too far", no, they have every right to protest as long as its done peacefully.

We get that, but what are they uniting against right now besides the president and "socialism"?

LMAO! Are we actually mocking protest signs now? Perhaps it's time to post some of the wacked-out signs from the several anti-war protests in DC from a few years ago.

It makes me LOL to hear words like "inappropriate" used to describe the Obama protests from today, since these descriptions are likely by the same crowd that supported the anti-war protests. If you had seen the kinds of signs and displays from those, the word "inappropriate" doesn't even begin to describe them...

And why is everyone here so obsessed with what Glen Beck thinks? Some kind of stalker-groupie thing? Very bizarre. LULZ all around for me tho.

Glenn Beck was, and still is, a Rush Limbaugh wanna-be. The publicity he's gotten lately, though, has raised his profile with the crazy set. What concerns me about this is not the rally but his apparently increasing influence over a subset of the population that is completely irrational. It seems he's becoming more powerful at what he does best: poisoning the national debate.

He has moved into the extreme nutty realm where i dont even really worry about him. I used to think the 9/11 conspiricy nuts were the epitome, Glen and his " movement" have now taken the wheel.

I hope it grows and grows, this President and Congress have gone too far. We are sick of the professional politicians ruining this country so that they stay in power. It started with G.W. Bush and his bailout before the election and now it is out of control. This past election proved how ignorant this country has become. We're now run by Statist who don't believe in freedom. They want to control you from birth to death, when are you people going to wake up and realize you are nothing but slaves to the federal government. Our founders are probably doing flips in their graves viewing this illegal takeover. We need to stand up and expose these people for who they really are. To expose ACORN, to expose the Czars, to expose the backgrounds of the President's advisors and stop the idiots in Congress from passing anymore bills.

I just came back from a memorial service at our local ladder company here in Brooklyn. Four were lost on 9/11. The families and fellow firefighters were pretty disgusted by this. On 9/12, these guys were on the pile working relentlessly looking for survivors along with regular people who just showed up to help. Some got sick from breathing in the air, didn't have health insurance and couldn't get treatment when federal funding was cut.

IMO, it's pretty disingenuous to use the unity of 9/12 to fight healthcare among other things, when on that very day people were showing real unity by volunteering to roll up their sleeves to help and then later being denied treatment for sickness resulting from the goodness in their hearts.

Isn't this the same Glen Beck who once described his voyage through the "nightmare that is our health care system?"

OK, I have now seen two separate people on this forum compare the opposition Obama is facing with healthcare to the opposition Bush faced with the Iraq war. WTF?

From day 1, the Republicans used the 9/11 tragedy to push their agenda.
