Out of the blue, my Gmail account is rejecting my password that I use to login. I'm using Apple Mail, with my POP Gmail account as my inbox. Every time I enter in my password, it rejects it.

Everything was fine for 2 years and then all of a sudden this happened. I've read some things about it going away after a couple of days. Are there any alternatives to the "sit and wait it out" method?

Thanks

After your logged into the Gmails web interface, it might be a good idea to tie your cell phone number to your mail account.

That way if anyone does hack your account, you have a recovery method.

Well I went to the Gmail website and logged in. They confirmed that there had been suspicious activity on my account. I have a new password and so far, so good. I also put in my cell number for a recovery method.

Thank you all for the help! :)
