Larabie and dafont are always good starting points for that kind of thing.

    Watch your step there...
I live in a permanent shade of darkness since instaling several rounds of free fonts. For the few gems there are among them, the downside of corrupt fonts far outweighs the benefits.

I often find some really nice ones at 1001fonts.com; however, make sure you read any files that come with the font as many of them have conditions or copywrite info.

    fontfreak.com

www.fontfreak.com is a decent site. Just be careful when entering the site since it is easy to click on ads.

I second the suggestion for 1001. It's the only site I use any more.

If you're just using the font for titles in a class project, you are usually okay to use the fonts for free. Still, though, read the terms.

Another good place to go for interesting fonts is www.chank.com

I'm trying to get this information collected into a little guide here, since these questions come up so often. It you see good stuff missing, add it there (or here if you'd rather), and then we won't have to remember it all :)
