I have never been to key on how to make a website very "user" friendly. I wonder if you guys know of good apps that can help me. I dont want it to build it for me. I want to write the code so i know how to modify it, but just to give me a layout to follow.. Any ideas?!

Well if you buy a template you get that template and all source files/images etc. so you ultimately could have total control.

You might want to try finding a few websites you like, then opening the pages in Dreamweaver or GoLive just so you can play with different settings and learn how other people do it.
