I think ti would only work rfeally well with a super high traffic website..
I only get about 30-40 hits a day...
    lol

If they all clicked an ad I'd be in business...
I imagine though if you got like a few hundred clicks per day you could make a substantial amount of money...

I clicked on them all for you. :)

How many hits do you get per day? On average?

I signed up for the Google Ads.
I didn't know about this stuff, maybe I will be able to make a little cash from my pages.

    Thanks!

I'm making a couple bucks a day on average - my site gets around 400 visits a day. For me I mainly wanted to cover my hosting bills and maybe earn a bit extra "play money" without alienating visitors. I like the Google ads because 1) they're relevant, and 2) you can pick a color scheme that matches your site colors.

It's certainly not like the hey-day of the dot-com boom, when I remember pulling in something like $300 a month with banner ads - back then you could get paid by the view rather than per click-through.

Maybe some clever programmer can write a script to automatically click on the links - say 1000 times a night?

i'm not 100% sure but my guess is that it remembers your ip and just counts it as one click...i could be wrong, its just a guess

I wonder if you were an avid eBay seller..
You could drop the HTMl into your eBay ads and get that exposure as well

btw.. made a total of .03 cents today,, guess the family doesnt eat....

This is expressly prohibited in the Google Adsense terms of use. They also are pretty clear about what they term "fraudulent" clicks, and also about providing incentives for clicking.

I imagine they must at least do spot-monitoring of participants, so I'd rather everyone played by the rules. It's not worth potentially losing your standing in the program.
