So I am trying to create a Google Co-Op on my site, searching my list of vintage-mac related sites.

However, whenever I search for anything, there is a HUGE white space below the results, placing my navigation way way out of reach!

    See this Example

Anyone have experience with Google Co-Op!

yes, google places in an iframe to your site to show the results. the iframe is 1200px high and they do not give you any control over that. this is the number one reason (among others) that I am not using this new service.

    *doesnt use in new design*
Edit: Just took a look in Safari at your site, its stretched at the bottom because of it (on the link you gave anyway).

Ooh... I didn't know about this, but unless I'm sorely mistaken after reading through the TOS, unlike Adsense for Search you're allowed more or less complete control over what the search box looks like.

I owe you one for turning me on to that--I use the adsense sitesearch instead of a roll-your-own search engine for my site, but the lack of customizability of that crusty-looking old table-based form really limited what I could do with it. The fact that you can do more or less anything with the Coop search box means I can put search anywhere. Rock! And you can even link it to your Adsense account to scrape some revenue off of ad clicks, too... nice.

Incidentally, in answer to the original question, although Google's iFrame has a fixed height (doesn't really bother me with my layout, but I can see the annoyance), it looks like you can do some fancy AJAX stuff to format the results however you want, if you want to get tricky with the coding.
