does anyone know if it is not healthy for your calculator to be turning on and off a lot?

i have a ti 89t, most of the time, i am doing problems on paper and use my calculator every 30seconds to 3minutes or so. I normally turn it off in between.

Before my 89t, i used an 86 and that turned on instantly, it seems like theres a whole lot more to load in the 89t and just feels awkward turning it on and off.

Of course it's bad. The little calculating gnomes have to hop out of bed and power up the calculator. How would you like to get kicked out of bed every 30 seconds?

I think your calculator will be fine. There are no moving parts to wear down. TIs are durable calculators.

What do you mean there is more to load? My TI-89 seems to power on instantly, could this perhaps be something about the 89t you mentioned?

Oh, and it isn't bad for it.
