America's most loyal ally (some may say "poodle") deserves to be spelt correctly - it's Great Britain.
i read it to mean that one very important man was doing this by himself.
The U.S. is making evacuation plans, too.
lol - Blair surely deserves the title of Great Briton bestowed on him by the American nation.
Aljazeera has a breakdown of current known evacualtion plans for most foreign nationals.
This is an extensive number of people in harms way and they are trapped
as long as fighting continues.
I fear the worst if Hezbolluh militants manage to take down any evacuation
jets filled with Western nationals.
Roughly 2,200 U.S. Marines will be in place during the evacuation and tentative plans call for the repair of an emergency runway allowing 50-100
chartered jets to carry the evacuees to safety in Cyprus.
Obviously the risk is tremendous.
I read it that way too. I was wondering who it was...
why would they do that?
would you shoot down a plane of americans?
But that doesn't mean other people don't want to as well.
The right wing Israelis would love to give the US an excuse to join the fighting.
therefore, hezbollah wants to? a logical fallacy.
i think it's more likely that israel would shoot it down to blame it on hezbollah than hezbollah bothering to shoot it down. they've already got their hands full with israel, why would they want the US bombing them, too?
Where in my words did i say hezbollah wants to?
I stated other people.
For all you know that could mean other americans in lebanon or israel, or hell maybe even a canadian wants to.
Please don't put words in my mouth. I was asking a simple questions of why wouldn't they take out plans. And you went into this tizzy.
Kinda funny to look at it actually.
read the posts again and you'll see it's clear.
Is that a question? Yes or no?
Is that saying "Hezbollah wants to" which is a statement?
And i am pretty sure stating that other people may want to shoot down american planes does not say "hezbollah wants to"
Could have sworn that the first person to scream hezbollah in this situation was you here.
I hope nothing like this happens, but I'm sure all of us see the potential
and the risk.
With both extremist factions saying " Bring it " this does not look good at all.
On a more cheerful note, I happened to remember Nostradamus' prediction
mentioning someone with a blue turban.
Out of the country of Greater Arabia
Shall be born a strong master of Mohammed...
He will enter Europe wearing a blue turban.
He will be the terror of mankind.
Never more horror.
This afternoon I just happened to catch the broadcast of Hezbolluh leader
Sheik Hassan Nasrallah
He was wearing a blue turban
Nostradamus' predictions are bull-****.
for christ's sake, put it in context:
mac: i hope hezbollah doesn't shoot down a plane.
me: why would they?
you: why wouldn't they?
the antecedent to "they" is "hezbollah". that is the context. were you confused or just being disingenuous?
hahahaha you just made my day.
Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't. Who knows.
glad i could help. i'm going with "disingenuous."
Depends on the americans. Kidding. Not really.
Doesn't have to be real to make some people want to make them real. Self-fulfilling prophecies and all. And we're playing right into it.
Oh, and you're all doomed. DOOMED! Doomed.
I'm sorry about that man, can the moderators please fix this horrendous spelling error? I won't let this happen again.
Send them a PM.
