    I'd take it if they accepted me - the only thing I need to know, though, is how they're getting the fresh fish to the sushi chef. I don't know if I'd be happy with frozen fish in my sashimi.....

    Yeah, I seem to remember this from a while back. I believe around April Fool's Day, but I am not sure.

    Actually, almost all, and it should be all, of the sushi and sashimi served in the US has been frozen per gov't regs to kill parasites. It turns out that many sushi chefs are beginning to prefer the deep freeze to a standard freezer as it maintains the physical integrity of the meat as if it were fresh.

    really? wow, that's wild. so if you make it at home from fresh fish you have a higher risk of getting something from it.....good to know.
