    hey there!
so some of you may know that i build guitars
as you can see in this thread --> http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=257181
i am currently in the process of making another.
so this time i wanted to put a logo up on the headstock. im going to use my last name because its just the way guitar manufacturers usually go. it sure beats the cheesey names like shredster or something like that, hahaha

so here it is, tell me what you think
    [IMG]

im going to use the gold one for the guitar im doing up now. the green is for the black one thats already done (im going to put on the back of the headstock for that one). so yeah, there it is!

***edit: added the "Hand crafter in Canada"***

being a guitar player myself I can say this will look great on on the headstock of almost any style axe. It's gothic enough for a metal themed guitar, and classic enough to work on an acoustic (if you were to go that way later).

But the graphic designer in me says "what's that letter (number?) in the middle?" Is your last name Paznar? Pagnar? It pa3nar? I'll assume pagnar, but I'd still play with that G a bit and make it a bit clearer.

But the direction your going with this is quite nice, both classy & contemporary at the same time.

You build guitars? or just basses?

dornoforpyros, shame on you! That's a ZZZZ!

...I learned in grade school to write it like that. NOBODY else I ever met writes it like that and people are always complaining that I write letters that don't exist. They just don't get it :(

I write my z like that too but I changed my style sometime during high school, it just flowed better with my writing :)

As to the logo, personally I like the white and black version, it just seems to have a little more impact than the others on this site, however I suppose it depends on the colours of the headstock.

Its very hard to read so will not be memorable. A logo should be memorable for it to be effective. I would probably put the keyline on the outside rather than the inside as it is breaking up each letter into smaller sections and so making it somewhat illegible. Putting it on the outside keeps the typeface as it should be and will make the whole piece more legible.

Or you can use a similar typeface but with a conventional 'Z'.

Reminds me of Billy Madison when he had to write "Rizzuto" on the board. :p

I write my cursive z's like that also. I think it's going to look amazing on that bass. :) And I'm glad you're putting it on there. You should take pride in building something that gorgeous! :)
