The only booty I'm getting is from a recently purchased Neptune External 80GB Hard Drive from OWC, because it kicked my ass this morning. Specifically, it doesn't work. I tried testing it out with Carbon Copy Cloner, transferring all of my OS X contents to the Neptune drive, but I got a I/O error maybe after maybe only 2GB was copied. Then CCC and the Finder locked up on me on and off, then OS X couldn't register the Neptune Hard Drive, then I couldn't even erase it. I called up tech "support," and after 40 min., the guy there agreed to give me a replacement. Now I'm waiting for a replacement email from OWC. [IMG] [IMG][IMG] Otherwise, today isn't overly spectacular. But what gets my attention the most is I did a little research on the best quality AND best price (combination) external Hard Drives drives with Firewire, and I found the Neptune drives to be one of the better ones out there. But now I'm in serious doubt about the reliability of the Neptune external Hard Drives. [IMG] [IMG]

hmmm, spending your birthday on the tech support line for an 80 GB external HD is not exactly what I would do on my birthday, but I could understand if it was one of these. :D

Happy birthday King Cobra and kingjr3!!!

Hope you spend it with family or close friends.

I'm 27 now, and if my math isn't failing me, Cobra is turning 19.

That eCard phreaked out my browser, forcing me to restart it and lose all information in its cache. Internet Exploder, however, played it through. "Just my luck" with computers today, I guess.

Well, OWC will replace the Neptune drive, and relatives will send surprises over the mail eventually... kinda sucks to have your surprise gifts arrive after your birthday, since you keep waiting for an unpredictable amount of time.

hey everybody, KC's computer has been having problems today, so he asked me to post this for him:

"hi, and thanks for the kind thoughts on my birthday. when i bitched about not getting more presents today and how the card someone was kind enough to put together for me caused my browser to crash, what i meant to say was how much it means to me that people cared.

thanks again, and sorry for the misunderstanding!

    love to everyone,

    King Cobra"

I know, that's gonna hurt for a while once I hit 20. I like staying pre-20 in college/in class. It feels nice to know that I aced the first three levels of Calculus already and am still 18.9999. <-- A message to all the young teenage math supergeniuses out there: Get as far into math as you can while you're still young so that people will be impressed to know that you're a math genius, but only a teenager. That feeling kicks so much ass.

Oh, and I have blue lighting underneath my Cube, sort like when Hector did his.
