Hard Drive Problems

I was trying to use boot camp to set sut windows, and it wouldnt let me partition the disk because it saud it needed to be repaired. I went into disk utility and pressed verify disk. Then this came up:

Volume needs repair

What does this mean, and how do i repair it? Will repairing it erase my drive?

Not a big deal! Happened to me a while back.

Just get your OS X install disc, put it in, restart and hold C to boot from the disc.

Once it's all up, run Disk Utility and click Repair Disk. It should fix it up no problem.

No. It will be fine. Basically it's arranging the free bits so they work together.
