I know a few game developers/publishers offer free installers for the Mac that you can use to install a game off a PC CD. Do they have that for ROTCW? Can I download and install the demo, then overwrite the game files with the files off the CD? Would that work?

Um, what would I need VPC for? It's definitely not playable on VPC, if that's what you mean.

It may be possible. I have the PC version of Quake III Arena and I use it on Mac OSX. All I needed was the mac version of the update and I had to just overwrite a few files. RTCW is a based on Quake III engine as well so it may be possible but I have never heard of anyone doing so before.

I have heard that you can. Give it a try and report back to us.

I hate to say this, but wouldn't this be a grey area leagally since Aspyr wont get paid for their effort in porting it? I just don't know. Argh, I think to much.

If the game works by just replacing some .pak files, Aspyr wouldn't have spent very much money to port it in the first place.
