The question is did this company actually ever intend to build the product that they patented. There is a disturbing trend of companies that are springing up in this country in order to do nothing but patent vague ideas and then sue for infringement eventually. At least this is a hardware patent. Don't even get me started on software patents. They are completely out of control and the patent office in the US is a complete joke. They unfortunately will probably get some sort of settlement though.

Someone needs money. These controllers are by no means new.

It's a vague frivilous lawsuit and it should be thrown out.

Now, excuse me while I patent water.

Thats fine, but just remember I hold the patent on the highly technical process of converting liquid H2O to a frozen solid, I believe the layman's term for it is "ice."

Drink all the ice water you want while I'm busy patenting the highly technical process of breathing and the associated mixture of gases that I thought I would call air.

I'm patenting this whole thing called 'life,' so be prepared to pay some expensive licensing fees.

As for the lawsuit, I don't think it'll come to anything.

This will be thrown out. The xbox 360 controller rocks and the Wii will hopefully be amazing.

Well as the current patent holder of patenting and suing, it looks like I have a few people to sue...

LMAO, this thread is hilarious, i just had to point that out.

As for the subject at end, the worst thing about these crazy patent suits is that most of the time they do get some money. Patenting and then suing is the new way to make money it seems.

you know these small companies are looking to create and take up new technologies so that when the big companies want to use them, they'll have to buy the rights or settle a lawsuit. what's the small texas-based company going to do with their controller ideas? create a new gaming console? yea right.

Making the money by suing the big boys...its a quick 10 million in the pockets and to get the company off the ground.
