    Hi MacRumors folk,

We're conducting a research study on "knowledge sharing behavior in virtual communities." As the research is focussing on professional, work-related forums, I thought that this may be a great place to gather some data. There is a prize incentive: one 512MB iPod Shuffle which will be awarded to a randomly selected participant.

If you have time to fill up the questionnaire, we'd appreciate it. If this is not a good place for what we needs, we would appreciate direction to more appropriate professional virtual forums.

The questionnaire is at the following url:

    http://210.71.15.163/vita/ques2005.asp

    Thanks!

    Vita

    The research is conducted by:
    Professor: Dr. Teresa Ju
    Graduate student: Vita Chen

Dept. of Information Management, SHU-TE University, Taiwan

From the title of your post, it sounded as though you wanted someone to give you an iPod Shuffle :)

I responded to the survey. There are some English translation problems which make some of the questions difficult to answer. You might want to try to find a native English speaker to help you phrase your questions more effectively.

    Thank you for advices.
    I have fixed the title.

About wordmunger's advice. Actually, the questionnaire has checked by native English speakers. However, next time I will ask more people to check my questionnaire. Thank you. :)

    Thank you tangerineyum!

I appreciate you spend time to fill up my questionnaire.

Of caurse, I will look into those data, but I don't think that I can recognise which one is you. Sorry~~

Someone likes to joing the drawing for iPod, will leave his/her name. But, people in forum leave nickname, right? I don't know who fill up the questionnaires, and the drawing will be fairer, right?

I know you are a great member in MacRumors through look at your member rating. ^_^

    Wish you luck!

I don't need a shuffle, so I just filled out the data without my name, email, or address. Is that ok?

Thank you for filling up my questionnaire. :)

To jared_kipe, if you really like to know your score. Please write to me what name you left in questionnaire. I will tell you when I finish this research.

To KC9AIC, of course. If you don't want to join the drawing, you don't have to leave your name, address and email address. You know, I have to contact the one who wins the prize.

To XIII. Thank you. I have asked native speakers to check this questionnaire. It is sad that there are still some problems. Next time, I will put more attention on it.

To Abstract. Glad to know you major in physic. Hope we have chance to talk about it. I am new in physic, and have many many questions. :) Hope this answer do not scare you.

Have a nice weekend, all of you.

    Hi,

Can I have two more members to fill up questionnaire?
    I get 198 responses.
But if I can get 200 responses, that would be great.

Congratulations on passing your oral exam! Is this like the "orals" in American graduate school? If so, that's a huge hurdle you've passed! Good luck with your research.
