I've been looking at a new game recently, to try to keep my mind of World of Warcraft.

I'm looking for either a good RTS or a good FPS.

Heres what i've narrowed it down to so far:

    • Command and Conquer: Generals Zero Hour
    • Battlefield 1942 Secret Weapon
    • Age of Empires II: Gold
    • Call of Duty: United Offense
    • Doom 3
An internet-capable game is really important to me. I already have WC3 and Starcraft.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

your computer won't be able to play doom 3 well. I tried the demo on lowest settings, and it was always lagging out. It was horrible!

edit: oh yeah, but it was the scariest game i've ever played.... my brother is now very traumatized, and i'm afraid of the dark.... I've never seen things that horrible and evil before....

You would have to buy Call Of Duty before you buy United Offense, it's an expansion pack. But my vote goes towards Call Of Duty if you don't already have it. Once you buy CoD you can get United Offense, it's a great expansion pack :).

Americas army isnt PC only, there is a new version coming out any day now since 2.3 is a bit old. PC version is at 2.5 but 2.5 for mac is only days away. 2.3 is still pretty good though. Download it and try it out, you wont be dissapointed.

thanks for the suggestion of CoD.

I haven't heard anything on the RTS side. is Command and Conquer worth getting?
