Help choosing router or router + modem

I need help choosing a good router for use with my iMac's airport extreme. I'm currently using an Origo modem connected to a Netgear MR814v2 router...As some of you would know the MR814v2's connection with the airport gets lost after some time and i have to reset the router when this happens. Can you guys recommend a good router or router + adsl modem for use with a mac and pcs. My configuration:

4 PCs, 2 of them wireless and 2 of them wired
1 iMac

Using the MR814v2 the iMac loses it connection after a while whereas all the PCs run smoothly. Please give your experience if you guys are running a similar setup and have smooth continuous access on your airport extreme.
