I have a dell 946 all in one printer that I would like to use with my macbook. How can I set it up?
i checked dell's site....as far as i can tell, the dell printers are only compatible with windows. do you have an install disc or any documentation for the printer?
Yes, I do have the install disk.
I doubt the install disc would have the driver if the website does not. You might have to try a generic driver with limited functionality. Try doing that after connecting the printer.
i wanted him to read the disc to see which system(s) it includes drivers for...that's all.
it's probably a good idea to go ahead and look at an HP all in one or another brand with support for OS X. you can pick them up fairly cheaply now.
