What do i need to do to import from a cd to the itunes?

The toast does import , but in aiff and it takes to much hard drive space , maybe if it would import to mp3's...

    Please help me out.

    put your...

Put your CD in...open iTunes...click on the CD in the list on the left then select all of the songs in the list...go up to the "advanced" menu and select "convert selection to mp3". If that menu says "convert selection to aif" then you need to go into your iTunes prefs and change it to mp3...after that start from the beginning of my directions.

    or

You can also just put your audio cd into the computer. Assuming you have jaguar, a window will pop up asking what you want to do with the cd. Tell it to open iTunes. Then it will connect to the internet and get the track and artists names and all that stuff. Set them as ID tags. click the import button. done.

try this, it will be a little more work, but it will work:

    put cd in drive.
double click the cd icon - it will show the tracks here in aiff form.
    select all the songs.
drag them to the library in itunes.
select all of these songs now in your library.
from the advanced menu, select convert selection to mp3.

this will create 2 copies of each song. delete the one thats not the mp3.

If the option is greyed out, make sure you click on the cd icon in the right menu, then highlight a song and press command-A to select all. Then go to advanced and convert selection to mp3..
The songs themselves must be highlighted in order for the command to work.
