Hey, I need some help. Lately I've been getting kernel panics on my Powerbook G4. At first, when they first started happening regularly, I was very scared and confused , because I didn't know what it was. I still don't know why they're happening, but I have noticed that they happen when I'm streaming video, like on youtube. Please help me with this problem, because I really like my Powerbook, but it's very hard to use it with this problem.

The one thing I would try is, in the Utilities folder, using Disk Utility. Verify and Repair Permissions ok both the hard drive itself, and the part (that it considers) your operating system is on. Then Restart your computer. Sometimes, Repairing Permissions helps. It's worth a shot. Wish I could help you more though - I'm not a Kernel Panic expert. Good luck at any rate.

To be able to help you need to give more details such as the kernel panic report from your console application.

    Cheers

Also - check the SMART status of the HDD (- This is to be found in System Profiler) if its new enough (Depends on which PowerBook G4 you have - for instance its present on my late-generation one, not so sure about earlier models though)
