Ok, I have a laserjet 1012 and a Dlink DP 301 U ----USB print server....
the laserjet is mac compatable and the print server shows up in the printers box...

now the problem...

After installing the HP CD on the mac, the driver still wouldn't show up in the printer discriptions... So, i can't print :(

I tried other similar drivers such as the laserjet 1200, etc. but no luck. It prints, but just Gibberish :(

Any ideas? Please help me get the printer to work on the network :), Oh btw, the printer uses LPR.

You need to find a CUPS compatible driver for you printer, which allows it to print through the network. Some compaines dont make a CUPS driver for their printers, only for USB, Canon for example on some of their printers.
You could try looking your CUPS driver through GimpPrint, and Printfab.
