    Did you try "Return" too?

This isn't the first (or likely) last thread on this topic, but I have yet to see one with the solution!

Does the disc you are using have SP2?

thanks, i finally got it figured out (with help from the apple forums). i had to unplug my mighty mouse and plug up my usb apple keyboard in the first usb slot and then restart and then it worked.

    thanks

OK. This seems to be common.

No external mouse, but an external keyboard is desirable.

Can you post a link to the apple discussions page where you found the solution for the next thime this comes up. ;)

sure, here is the link http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=543570&tstart=0

please check and make sure that it doesn't log you in as me

but it would not work with the mouse and keyboard in at the same time
