I am looking to move my entire iTunes library over to my MacBook from my iMac (Aug 2007) and will most likely reformat my drive in my iMac at some point and set it back up as the main media machine in a few months. But I need to sync my iPhone and 2 iPod Nanos that are currently synced with the iMac with my MacBook.

I know that by copying the library file for iTunes over to the MacBook along with all the music, my playlists and such will transfer over. What I am wondering is where and even if I need to copy my iPhone backups and what else might need to copy over to the MacBook so that when I plug my Nanos and iPhone into the MacBook because the library and everything else is the same, it just continues working without wiping the devices and starting over.
