I ve used Monolingual to erase the languages that I did not use but it seems that I did something wrong and erased some files that I should nt.
as a result all the characters like }{><?etc dont work in the English language.
They only work in Greek lianguage, but the funny thing is that I cant write in Greek+I can only use the special characters !!!

How can I restore the languages?

I'm pretty sure you'll have to reinstall OS X. Sorry.

On the upside: An archive and install doesn't take much time and you can use the Customize feature t get rid of all the languages, unnecessary applications and printer drivers you want. And once you have all up and running again, and can delete the previous systems folder, you should have much more space on your HD... ;)
