    Hey all,

Let me start this off with announcing that i've just recently become the very happy owner of a green 2nd gen nano. Unfortunately, my music topples 4 gigs, which is what my question is all about. When I noticed that smart folders in iTunes have the option to "limit to (whatever number) items selected by random", I thought that it would be a cool idea to use smart folders with that option on and use them to sync to my iPod. The objective of this would be for itunes to randomize the songs every time I sync. That way, while I won't be carrying ALL my stuff, i'll have more than enough between syncs so that i'll never have to worry about having fresh stuff to listen to. Unfortunately, while itunes does randomize upon the creation of the smart folder, it never seems to update with a fresh randomization. Is there something i'm overlooking about the behavior of iTunes or is there another way to accomplish what i'm trying to do?

    Thanks :)
