Hi, I am from spymac and I am looking for another site to visit to get away from that joke of a site, I hope this can live up to my expectations and that you have good moderators who are not little hittlers.

This kinda thing should go in Community if anything, but you'll get used to it.

Current Events is for just that, news items with links to the source (forum description - "mac, non-mac, news items (provide links please)")

No you cannot post in post in the news forums, they are for "official" news articles, and only the admin user "MacRumors" creates threads in them.

Welcome. I believe the moderators do a great job here, but I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a forum. Sounds like you may have had a problem with the way the other site was handled. Just remember, "everywhere you go, there you are".

I think you will find that there is something for everyone here.

How odd, I posted a question about SpyMac members the other day. Awhile back there was a sudden influx due to a Mod getting stripped of his title, or some related scandal. Not sure where those members are now but you're more than welcome here! :)

What happened to make you leave the SpyMac? I'm guessing something involving Mods! ;)

Welcome to Macrumors, where the moderators can be nit-pickey and pretentious. ;) ;)
Does spymac have a sense of humor?

I hate it when good forums go bad on you. I came here when another forum (not Spymac) got kind of "cliquey", and the "in" people started treating the "out" people shabbily.

I like it a lot here. Never had a problem with the mods, even in the Political Forum (which seems to lean liberal, BTW; another reason why I stay here).

Anyway, welcome. Hope you like it.

Na not really, anyway, it's not as if there's anything to "think" about, if you were to be asked, then you'd make up your mind then.

Besides, being a mod would mean you'd really need to be sensible all the time...I wouldn't want that :D

True, then you'd have to knock these off-topic posts outta here (which I expect to happen any second now...) :p

So, welcome all SpyMac members. It's right friendly in here. I really think there's something for everyone. Only advice I'd give is to research your questions before posting them. Some people get a little frosty when someone asks something when the answer is easily found with a modest amount of detective work.

And, no "when are we gonna see a PB G5" chatter, please. :p

heh, I don't think everyone loves them, but that's not my problem :p I don't think I bash newbies, I bash stupidity on occasion...the majority of which must just happen to come from the n00bs

Becasue I was quoted, and I was the only person who had said anything "against" exemacs (even tough it was just asking to try and post in the correct forum).
